Information for distance students
UTS offers some postgraduate coursework by distance mode.
As a distance mode student, you undertake your studies without attending any on campus subject activities.
Students studying by block mode are NOT distance mode students and are required to register for enrolment at Start at UTS
Starting your studies at UTS
As a distance student you will accept your offer and enrol in subjects online. Go to Start@UTS to begin the enrolment process.
Students studying off campus by distance are not required to attend an on-campus enrolment session.
To be issued a UTS Student ID card (required for all students to enable access to online study) please download the Distance ID Card Application Form and complete and return it to UTS with a verified passport size current photo. Please ensure you read page 2 of the form carefully and follow all instructions before submitting the form.

Deferral of commencement
Deferment is not available for any postgraduate coursework, including all courses offered distance mode.
If you do not want to study in the first semester following your offer you will need to reapply for a place in a later semester.
