Not returning at the end of an approved leave of absence
If you are unable to resume your studies on the expiry of your approved leave of absence, before the census date for the semester you are meant to return, you must either:

Apply to extend the leave of absence.
You can take a total accumulated maximum of four semesters / two years (Student and Related Rules 7.6.5) of leave of absence during a course.
If you fail to take up either of these options you will then be deemed to have abandoned your studies be withdrawn from your course.
Should you be withdrawn from your course and then want to recommence your studies, you must apply and be selected for admission in the same way as persons who have not previously been students of the University.
